McDonald Calls On Rehberg to Apologize
Posted Sep 09, 2010
While visiting with an ammunition manufacturer, Montana’s at large Congressman Denny Rehberg made a comment in reference to President Obama’s life being in danger and that the manufacturer should focus on making more safety locks for guns. Rehberg’s quote, “If Obama is president, maybe you need to spend more time developing a gun lock, a trigger lock” was followed by the Congressman chuckling.
Dennis McDonald, a Melville rancher and candidate for Montana’s contested at-large congressional seat responded upon learning of the Congressman’s statement , “These kinds of comments are both irresponsible and below the standard which citizens should expect of their elected leaders. Congressman Rehberg has embarrassed Montana once again. In making this comment, the Congressman displays a mindset that should be repugnant to all citizens. A cow pie has more intellect than what Congressman Rehberg has once again displayed.”
McDonald demands a public apology by Congressman Rehberg to the President, Americans and to Montanans for this ill advised remark and off color humor.Back to News
