Dennis McDonald Hits the Campaign Trail

Posted Jan 15, 2010

News Channel 13:

Dennis McDonald is hitting the campaign trail.  McDonald is running against Denny Rehberg for Montana's lone seat in Congress.

McDonald stopped in Missoula to talk about everything from health care and the economy to education.  He says Montana needs to support ordinary people instead of what he calls greedy Wall Street bankers.

He says, "We need a congressman that'll commit himself to working everyday in the best interest of ordinary, hardworking Montana people and I'm not sure we've had that kind of representation in Washington over the last 9 years."

In response, Denny Rehberg's campaign manager Tyler Matthews says, "While Denny has been fighting for real economic solutions that could have put us on the path to recovery a year ago, Dennis McDonald has been traveling around Montana trying to get his name in the news. If Dennis McDonald wants to talk about the economy, he should start by explaining his support for a failed $787 billion dollar stimulus bill that not only didn't create jobs, but also heaped nearly $40,000 of federal debt on every man and woman he greets and every baby he kisses on the campaign trail."

Tyler Gernant hasn't filed yet, but plans to very soon.
