Boat Crash Coverup
Posted Sep 08, 2010
The unfortunate yet avoidable accident involving Greg Barkus, Congressman Denny Rehberg and two of his staff members has hit the news again. Despite Barkus and Congressman Rehberg postponement of the trial until after the November 2nd election - the trial of State Senator Greg Barkus on three felony charges has been scheduled for November 29, 2010, they have been unable to keep it out of the public eye.Police reports indicate Barkus' blood alcohol level was .16 (twice the legal limit) an hour and 45 minutes after the crash and .12 four hours after the crash. Congressman Rehberg's blood alcohol was .05 four hours after the crash. Therefore, it is safe to surmise Rehberg was intoxicated at the time he made the decision to climb into the boat being driven by Barkus, and thereby risking the lives of his young staff people. Rehberg has said Barkus didn't appear to be drunk when they entered the boat at Lakeside pointing to the obvious fact that when drunk one does not notice another.
