In the past week alone, we've seen one man who is accused of two counts of vehicular homicide while driving intoxicated, and one man who was convicted of the same felony, both get arrested for a subsequent drunken driving charge.

We've also seen a state senator who allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.16 - twice the legal limit - when he crashed a boat into the shore of Flathead Lake, injuring himself and four others, including Rep. Denny Rehberg, plead not guilty to the charges.

The problem is pervasive, and these recent events only highlight how drunken driving in Montana continues to ruin lives.
